For domain names I use godaddy.com
Their hosting is normally not recommended and it is not advisable to lock yourself in to one company with both domain name AND hosting.
There are of course thousands of hosting companies on the Net, the one that I personally use is Site5.
Just go for their basic plan (hostBasic) if you only need one website (domain), otherwise go for hostPro.
