1. Greetings! Hello Folks, Big Brother has arrived. You may recall in our last issue that I was able to pinpoint exactly which links you were clicking to in the newsletter, using a tool called ROIbot. Well now I can go even further. I can see exactly what you are looking for at my web site ! I've installed my own personal search engine, a sort of mini Alta Vista , that allows you to search through my whole website, and the results are logged for me. Have a look now at my home page and try it out. So how many thousands of dollars did this cost me and how many man weeks of programming effort ? Well actually it was free and took me about 10 minutes to install. I'll let well known marketeer Jim Daniels explain how you can set it up at your own site and what it can do for you.
Regards,
2. "Do You Know What Your Website Visitors
Are REALLY Looking For?" Through the last few years I've tried many solutions to a nagging problem... how to let visitors easily search through my website. Each time I'd try a new service, script or software program I'd run into a problem. Either the searching was too slow, the search engine results were lousy or it just plain didn't work. After lots of trial and error, I finally found a site search tool that is head and shoulders above all others. Actually, it is more than that. It can be used as a powerful marketing tool as well. I now know "exactly" what my website visitors are looking for and can present my own solutions to them in a unique manner. o First, the tool: I'd like to invite you to try the new search tool at my home page... http://www.bizweb2000.com - what you'll find is a slick, independently hosted search solution for corporations, small businesses, and individual web developers... Atomz. With Atomz, absolutely anyone can quickly and easily add a powerful search engine to any site, and the service is free for sites with less than 500 pages. I got my own Atomz search engine 100% up and running in less than an hour. My new site search engine is FAR better than every solution I tried in the past and I spent zero dollars and almost zero time installing it. Actually, to put the Atomz engine at your site, there's nothing to do but fill out a few blanks, decide what areas you want your visitors to be able to search through and turn Atomz loose to index your pages. In seconds it spits out html code for you. You paste the code into any page you want a search form on, then upload the page to your site. Done. You now have a powerful search engine on your site and your visitors will love you for it! What's nice is that there are no annoying ad banners shown with your search results, just a small "Powered by Atomz.com" graphic. But there's really much more to Atomz than this. It holds a unique marketing value for savvy web marketers... o The Atomz fun starts... As your visitors search your site, Atomz logs what they enter and then creates reports for you by day, week, and month. These reports tell you what visitors are looking for at your site. You can use this information to improve your site or even to market your wares, by strategically "adjusting" your search results. Here's my own example... The top 15 searches at my site this week were:
search engines
So what does this report tell me? Well for starters, the first few search words show me that my articles on search engines and marketing maintenance have brought lots of visitors to my site. That's still something that lots of web marketers are interested in learning about, so I'll continue writing more about my experiences in those areas. Next, many of the terms searched on were exact matches to the keywords I bid on at goto.com. Specifically, "make money" and "direct email" are keywords I just increased my bids on at goto. It was nice to see those efforts bring immediate visitors. It's also great to give these surfers a quick search tool so they can find exactly what they're looking for at my site as soon as they arrive. Next, the searches on domain registration prompted me to move my report on "how to select and register a domain name for your business", to the top of that results page. All searches on domain registration now indirectly lead visitors to my "domain name wizard" and then onto my domain name registration services. Hey, this Atomz search tool is a great little marketing tool! Adjusting the search results at your site is a powerful way to market specific products and services. Atomz realizes this and offers their "Target Meta Tag", an exclusive Atomz.com search feature. You simply list words in the "content" part of the "target meta tag" and the page is promoted to the top of your search results ranking. You can also use your keywords tag to influence your Atomz.com Search results. As I work my way down my first Atomz report, I not only learn what my visitors are searching for, I learn what my site is lacking. Over time, these reports will be invaluable in my efforts to help my website visitors and BizWeb eGazette subscribers who return to my site. And oh yeah, I learned one more thing from my Atomz search word reports... I may need to do a little research on this Shania Twain person. ;-) To learn more about Atomz and get your own free search engine, visit http://atomz.com/design ----- Article by Jim Daniels of www.bizweb2000.com - a great resource for all your "how to make money online" needs. 3. Readers Forum 3.1 Any more Pay per Click engines ? From Vera McKenna "I was very interested in your article about GoTo.com Are there any other Pay per Click search engines ?" Vera, GoTo was the first in the field and currently the most prominent but others are starting up. So although you will have less hits on these you will find the bid prices less than at GOTO. Worth a try - remember you only pay for the clicks. Allan Gardyne of <http://www.AssociatePrograms.com> maintains a list at <http://www.PayPerClickSearchEngines.com> with useful articles on how to use them.
3.2 There's lots more to ROIbot There was a lot of interest in the ROIbot tracking tool and as you can see I am using it again today in this issue to monitor clicks to my links. Some readers have reminded me that ROIbot comes with a stack of other features included. Here's a brief list: FFA Submission Server Submission to free-for-all (FFA) pages may not be worth the time it takes unless you can automate the process totally. That's what this tool does. Follow-Up Autoresponder Server If you're not following up, you're losing sales. This program allows you to send out any number of personalized follow-up messages.
Newsletter Server Spider Submission Server You can schedule and automate the task of submitting your site to the spider search engines. Web Page Spy You can spy on your favorite sites, as well as those of your competition. Once the program detects the slightest change on a page, it will immediately notify you, even providing you a before and after look at the page. Lifeline Conducts daily checkups on your site so that you know if it is up and running properly, and even warns you of potential problems. Order Form Creator Instantly create secure order forms for your products. You don't have to switch web hosts or change merchant accounts. You can integrate this with the ROIbot Ad Tracker so you can track which of your marketing campaigns brought in the order. ROIbot Expert Advice of the Month Each month a new expert reveals their best-kept secrets on how to succeed in business.

4. More "Super" Tips 4.1 Follow the experts There have been two clever marketing ideas used by experts in today's issue which we can all learn from. Did you spot them ? Well first we had Jim Daniels who found a useful free service (Atomz), wrote an article explaining how it works and what benefits he gained from it, and offered it to Ezine readers. If you like Jim's style of explaining the exact methods he uses to build up his online business then you will love his book "Insider Internet Marketing" here
Similarly he tells you why he had to change his web host seven times before
realising what he was doing wrong.
The second idea was from Allan Gardyne. He saw the need for more information about Pay per Click engines and compiled a web page with the latest information. Allan of course is famous for his directory of affiliate programs - another example of providing information that others are looking for.
This directory contains several thousand entries together with his top
10 programs. I was pleased to see the name of Marlon Sanders in 6th place
because it gave me the final impetus to purchase his course Seeing that we are talking about experts you will know of my high regard for Ken Evoy. If you want to read my past reviews of Ken's products then take a look at the issues at .... Wait a moment - I don't have to say that any more. Why not feed his name into the search engine at my home page !! Anyway I digress. One of Ken's tips is to resist the temptation to go overboard about an affiliate product in the pre-sell stage, even if you are genuine about it. Better to leave that to the sales letter at the affiliate company site. So I'm going to take that advice in my discussion of Marlon's course and just limit it to this one fact. If you print out the testimonials listed at his site they will occupy more than 100 pages. And some of these names I recognise as being amongst the foremost in the industry. So why not hop over now to here and read about Marlon's "Amazing Formula"
While reviewing my web site I noticed an increasing number of 'stand alone' pages - created to complement special postings or ads - which are not accessible from the home page or it's descendants. Consequently they will not be picked up by search engines if I just submit the home page Url. How to resolve this ? I have set up a 'linking' page which simply contains links to all these pages. Now where do I put this page ? I don't want a visitor to see it as it contains no useful information - it's just a age of links. I could hide it in a rarely visited page several levels down but the problem is that some search engines may not burrow too many levels down and will not index this page. Best to put it on the home page and make it very small or maybe invisible. But wait - some engines may detect this and regard it as a trick , and ban my site ! Well I have found a solution.
This link IS on my home
page I'll tell you where it is in the next issue but if you can't wait (or you want to tell me you found it) you are welcome to drop me a line.
